Open Inquiry Practicum: An Effective Strategy for Enhancing Science Process Skills of Prospective Biology Teachers

Practicum has been widely recognized as an effective approach to enhance science process skills. However, traditional practicums may not be sufficient in improving integrated To address this issue, the current study aimed introduce open inquiry practicum model and investigate its impact on basic skills among prospective biology teacher students. The was conducted during odd semester of 2022-2023, where selected courses utilized both outside laboratory facilitate learning. A quasi-experimental with a non-equivalent control group design assess effect students' Data collected from observing utilizing learning model, well pretest posttest results Treatment analyzed through Mann-Whitney test alpha level 0.05. consisted experimental preparation, practical field work, data collection analysis, presentation, uploading activity products form posters videos YouTube. indicated significant improvement implementation practicum.
